Hey beautiful! In today’s video I will show you how to create a pair of earrings using the Minos and Delos Par Puca beads, and 11/0 round seed beads. The look of this new design reminds me of mosaic tiles, hence the name “Ravenna” (city in Northern Italy known for its beautiful and historic mosaic tile artwork).
Even though this design incorporates a more adventurous three hole bead shape, these earrings actually work up very fast, and I love the breezy and eye-catching outcome. Please see the full list of materials below:

The inspiration for this earring design came from the December 2021 Hot & Trendy Beads of the Month Club. That month, their company asked if they could challenge me to create as many pieces as possible from the contents of that subscription. I love a creative challenge!
The double version of the club, which offers twice as many beads as the single, came with a large container of Minos Par Puca Beads. It really is amazing just how many beads come inside those plastic flip top containers.
Because I had so many Minos to work with, I decided to see if I could use them to begin a new type of beaded bezel. This plan changed, however, as they often do when I am “playing with my beads.” With the incorporation of the Delos Par Puca beads, placed around the Minos in a square-like formation, the beadwork began to take on a new life.
I decided I would rather keep the center of the earrings open, and let the design show off the different bead shapes, sort of like mosaic tiles. The addition of the Minos and seed beads, on and around the Delos, helps to refine the overall shape, and sharpen the corners.
