Royal Plumage Beaded Earrings Tutorial
Hello everyone! In today’s video I will show you how to make the Royal Plumage beaded earrings, which are inspired by the Eureka Crystal Beads Collection of the same name. The colors evoke thoughts of the rich shades of blue, green, and gold, which are found in regal peacock feathers. Royal Plumage Beaded Earrings Steps
In the video tutorial, you will see how to create the Royal Plumage Beaded Earrings pattern in clear, step-by-step detail. You will begin by creating the beaded portion that will frame the front of the 12mm crystal rivoli.
Next, the crystal will be inserted, face down, and you will continue to complete the beading on the back, which will encase the stone, and hold it securely in place.
The final step is to add the wire guard, and ear wire finding. In this demonstration, I use lever-back style earring findings, but feel free to use a different style of findings that you are most comfortable with. T
he wire guards provide added reinforcement to the piece at one of its potentially weakest points; where the finding could pull on the beadwork. I love using wire guards because they take the brunt of any stress where the finding could pull on the thread itself. If you don’t intent to use wire guards, feel free to useÂ
Royal Plumage Collection Contents
Eureka Crystal Beads came out with unique collection of high-quality beads, stones, and findings, in January 2020, and for a limited time it is still available. Inspired by the brilliant feathers of the peacock, this collection evokes the ancient symbolism of this magnificent creature including vision, royalty, spirituality, awakening, guidance, protection, and watchfulness.
