About the Cottage Garden Design:

We will begin this piece by creating a seed bead bezel with peyote stitch. Miyuki Delicas will form the middle, followed by size 11/0 round, and then the 15/0 rounds will be used last to tighten the bezel around the stone

Additional 15/0 round seed beads will be added around the side of the bezel, which create the perfect spaces to add the sparkly 4mm Preciosa bicone beads. Don’t you just love the AB 2x coating on these beads?

You may choose to add a bail, or not, depending on what you plan to do with this piece. The bold size, in addition to the dangling leaves and fabric rosettes, make this a gorgeous option for a brooch, I think. While I haven’t added the pin finding to the back yet, I think that is what I will ultimately decide to do. I am picturing this design pinning a lovely scarf in place.

Throughout the two-month period of bead box enjoyment, you may also browse the “virtual exhibition” via Pinterest. See what everyone has created from the same contents you have received, and submit your own work to share!

Also, at the end of a yearly subscription period, you have the option to partake in an online graduation ceremony where you can exhibit your finished jewels!

About BeadingSchool Academy

BeadingSchool Academy isn’t like other beading subscriptions. The arrival of the bi-monthly package feels like an entire event; one which will unlock the door to an immersive, educational, and creative beading experience.

Every second month, we’ll explore a different theme. You’ll step into a story, where beads and components will feel like artefacts from a magical world. There will be articles introducing you the inspiration behind the themes: artistic styles like Art Nouveau or Art Deco, famous characters like Vincent Van Gogh, painter of the Starry Night, or special places like Rajasthan, the land of maharajas, or Marrakesh and its thousand-year-old colours, joy, and traditions.
